I love any time I can pull off red and green together without it skewing Christmas. These green corduroys are actually slightly more olive than forest — the stock image isn’t doing the color of the pants justice. I got the sweater secondhand off Instagram. It’s taken me awhile to accept that secondhand shopping means more than just thrifting at Goodwill. Any (reasonable, within your means) secondhand purchase is more sustainable than shopping new! It doesn’t need to come with a war story.

These are the cowboy boots I tried on in the Arizona Tecovas store. The distressing at the toe of this boot is excessive in real life, but I know that once I wear them more it will even out. I bought this dress ten years ago off the sale rack of Madewell. After I wore it, I decided to look for it secondhand in a bigger size so that the waist doesn’t ride up as much when I sit. I gave the original to my sister. I like this jacket during transitional weather because I ended up adding a wax coating to it (similar to a Barbour jacket), and it’s much warmer now.

I wore this on our spring break trip to LA. I loved getting dressed in LA! Warm enough for no socks! Cool enough for a light layer! Shorts and long sleeve shirt weather! Every day was so breezy! I tailored this tank top to my ideal length - 21 inches - and have worn it to death in warm weather ever since. I’m not a neutrals gal normally, but when my tattoos are out I tend to stick with very simple prints or solid colors.

I have a very hard time getting dressed on the weekends, but I started attending church services more regularly, so that helps. Because it’s the Pacific Northwest, this is actually a nice church outfit, and I received THREE compliments from women in their +60s, telling me that they loved the Shakespeare and Company bookstore. I haven’t been to the bookstore, but I have been to Paris! I ordered this because I loved how my friend Tess styled it. I sized up and took it to a tailor to shorten it. I love the way black and navy look together. I was initially inspired by this look by Irene of Modas Veritas.

I’m always looking for outfits that dress these pants up a little bit. I love this short sleeve sweater. My classroom runs hot, and when we add in 35+ middle schoolers to the room, it can be unbearable in the afternoons especially. This was another Madewell sale rack find that I wear often. I’ve never been much of a bag girl, but I wanted to give my Baggu bag a break and have something a little dressier. It fits everything I need, and the color is a staple for me.
I haven’t sourced or linked any of these looks, but if you have any questions about where something is from, I'll do my best to track it or something similar down for you. Please feel free to share any fun spring outfit ideas in the comments!
I LOVE all of these outfits!
And 100% agree about multiple ways of secondhand shopping. I got a great pre-owned Alex Mill cardigan on eBay a few months ago during one of my “oh yeah, eBay is still a thing!” moments.
