Oh, I love this and your collection is so good! I've never had the nerve to commit to a painting..I'm immediately paralysed about where I would hang it, and also I'm never sure if I love it enough? But I think one day I will find the right piece.
The only original art I have is a print by a photographer who shot a bunch of buildings that were about to be demolished in Singapore. It took me 6 months to find a framer and then another year to decide to hang it, lol.
Obsessed with this -- and can I tell you something? My most prized piece of art is from my kooky great aunt. Before she died, she told me the story of how she took herself to Paris and went to a fancy restaurant and brought the menu home to be framed so she would always remember. I come from a huge family and I had to really assert myself (lol) to get it, but it's hanging in my kitchen. The kiddos in your life are going to be obsessed with your collection!
