I love many of these and am devastated by Schoolhouse's stupid private equity disaster and also incensed that while everything is on "final sale" nothing is actually reduced in price!!
Yes to the Bose headphones! My husband bought them for me this summer when our second was born and they have saved me from joining my kids in so many meltdowns 😂
Listen, whomever is designing for Gap is doing an excellent job, they have me in an absolute chokehold that I cannot stop bc I also have a gap credit card 🙃🙃🙃🙃
My favorite things so far are an owala water bottle, the library, Picasso tiles, watercolor doodling, and getting a divorce but I can’t spread that on Instagram like that LOL
Kinda wishing we’d gone the Yoto route with my kid instead of the Tonie, but alas; he actually loves his Toniebox, but they just don’t have a very broad selection. Also love Hanna Andersson pants for kids, but I have a hard time—nope, I straight-up can’t pay more than $8 for a pair of kids pants. Thrifting has spoiled me (and unfortunately no other moms around here donate that brand). Plus, my kid has the nerve to have to his own style and would never wear what I want him to wear anyway 🤷♀️
This comment’s getting long, but I’m pot committed now. One of my faves of the year is finally assembling a mom group chat and semi-regular get-togethers. Technically not all of them are moms (variety, spice of life and all that) but can’t think of a better moniker.
I also dislike how expensive kids clothes are, especially online. More fodder for my what should things cost post TK....! My son and I battle daily over "soft pants" vs. "tough pants" -- I am the only mom in his whole preschool who requires tough pants!
One of my favorite things of this year is a tiny water bottle. I was a skeptic when I first read about them, but then I kept finding myself in situations (at concerts, or when carrying a smaller than usual bag, or whilst laden with children’s belongings and sans water bottle because I hadn’t wanted to add weight to my load) where I would think “if I had that tiny water bottle, I’d be able to take a sip right now.” After several such moments, I bought one, and - lo and behold - it is very convenient! It is not a “use every day” item, but it is an “extremely helpful for the scenarios when I do use it” item. https://nymag.com/strategist/article/best-mini-water-bottle-hydro-flask-review.html
I have very specific water bottle preferences, and one of my biggest complaints is I don't need to carry 40 oz of water with me everywhere I go!!! Brilliant.
The postpartum pics are lovely. Her little ruffle collar🥰 How do you find getting into the Wildbird carrier while managing both kids? Considering one for our second baby this spring, but it’s so hard to know what the on/off process is like with each…
Currently, I can put it on by myself if I am sitting down. I don't put it on when I am standing (but again, I may just be paranoid!). The tightening straps are intuitively adjustable and are pulled forward, which is key!!
Your family photos are the sweetest 🥹
I want to hit it heavy with tretinon once I’m done nursing haha

YOTO FOR LIFE. I swear we've only come to love them even more as the years go by.
I was such a book on tape kid, it has to be genetic for him to love it 😂

They’re the best gift!!!

What are Picasso tiles?! Is it like Magnatiles?
Yes! But cheaper and I find them sturdier!
lol but on Substack there is a strong divorce discourse!
I am in the right place then lol
