Ahh! I love love love reading this. I always love a birth story, but this was a particularly delicious one (mostly because of the baby, but also I would like to hear more about that fig cake one day.) congratulations to you, Jonny, Ari, and I love Georgia’s name. Enjoy this cozy, sweet, newborn baby time. ♥️
I love birth stories, this has to be in the top though. So so good, so special, so many funny and sweet moments. Georgia will get a kick reading this when she's older. Second births go fast! I had a feeling you were having a girl too. My birth plan with my daughter included no epidural and when I was at home laboring (little did I know close to giving birth haha), there as one moment that I was like, yea Im gonna need an epidural. I was in transition, the most pain but closest to birth! Same with you haha. So many congratulations!
I find it so funny because my second labor was exactly what I wanted with my first but did not get. And with my second, I was like GIVE ME THE EPIDURAL!!!! Goes to show we don't get what we want, we get what we need, lol.
This was so incredible to read. I also didn’t find out the sex of both of my babies! I was so convinced I was having a second girl and was completely stunned to learn it was a boy. Georgia was a name I always loved for a girl — she’s so beautiful!
I always found it irksome when other people waited (I want to know everything all the time!!!), but I just knew it was the right move for my second baby!!
I love a good birth story! "I can't do this"/"You're doing it" is a CLASSIC of the genre. So glad you were too far dilated to get the epidural so that you could full step into the portal between life and death and feel it so deeply and horribly and wonderfully. What a total mindfuck it is! Georgia is beautiful and so lucky! Congrats to all of you. xoxo
YOU DID IT! You are incredible and brave. I love birth stories and yours is so good. Thank you for sharing <3
Thank you so much!!
I’m crying!!! Women are amazing. Welcome to the world, Georgia!
