Glad I’m not the only one resurrecting boat shoes

Ah I so do not miss the challenge of pregnancy dressing! However I have become a real proselytizer for linen/cotton shapeless mini dresses which are multi-multi-purpose: they can be worn pregnant or not, and with or without pants (as a tunic-style top or a short dress). Some I love are my Linenfox Agata dress, my Dancing Kind Isabel dress, and most recently the heritage short slip from Dazed but Amazed. Good luck to you ❤️❤️

I loooove the Dazed But Amazed color palette. It's so beautiful.

Your first trimester outfits are so cute! I’m not planning to have a second kid anytime soon, but I often wonder about how I might approach dressing differently. All the flimsy silk pieces I loved the first time seem so impractical with a toddler.

Here’s my maternity dressing round-up in case you feel like checking it out. I basically lived in big shirts and low waisted pants until it got too hot for separates.

I love those gingham trousers from your first trimester!

Flowy dresses are easy in the summer. Old navy online has a ton of maternity stuff too pretty cheap!

I did the medium zip boat n tote with long straps for diaper bag and it's never failed. Love that I can just throw it in the wash! Also loved a Skims soft lounge robe found on poshmark all through the pregnancy and postpartum, and my baby was also born in October. Something about the full length felt elegant on my changing shapes and cozy when the weather cooled postpartum but not too heavy before. Your jumpsuit is a super cute early preg outfit :)

I had someone message me privately that they are totally pro boat and tote diaper bag!! Now to think of something stupid or clever to embroider on it...

I am also pro boat and tote as a diaper bag- with the caveat that I went with the Land’s End version because it has interior pockets and an exterior pocket whereas the L.L. Bean boat and tote is a black hole

I had a similar experience — first child born in 2021 meaning worked from home the whole time, second child born in 2024 so went into an office. I used rent the runway heavily in my third trimester, there was a pair of dark green velvet hatch overalls from RTR I wore nonstop. A friend recommended Paige’s maternity jeans, which indeed were great! A pair of pants that didn’t feel like they were constantly going to fall down. I was able to find a pair for $25 on Poshmark. I passed them over to a friend after.

I will keep an eye out for Paige!! My SIL gave me a pair of maternity jeans, but they are way too tight in the hips for me! I'm also not quite ready for those elastic panels...

Totally, I tried to hold off on wearing actual maternity pants for as long as possible (ordering pants several sizes up via RTR helped)
